From the depths of the IDM underground: Cathopsis' Solythode unites Solypsis and Cathode Ray Tube in a collaborative force, while Cathode Ray Tube's Suono Y Oblio moves the tiredest souls through heavy rhythm, dark sonic waters, and low-lying drones — a rebirth through a chasm of noise. For Heads Only's If You Know sees jazz artist Mike Casey excavate his own discography into wonky, off-kilter, cinematic beats at the intersection of Brainfeeder and Stones Throw. YCK's EP2: Tape delivers a minimal 70s/80s analogue-synth meditation on cassette tape as a source of distorted sound, eleven years in the making.
