This album is the first Jazz Combo release in a decade - released as Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts enters its 50th year as the Arts Magnet. The album is a tribute to those who came before and a declaration that the tradition is alive, thriving, and looking boldly toward the future. This project was entirely student-driven. From the first note to the album’s cover design, this recording represents the creativity, discipline, and vision of the next generation of artists. It is a reaffirmation of Booker T. Washington's enduring commitment to developing young musicians at the highest level while continuing to redefine what music education can be.
